My brother’s apartment, the day after he died.

‘Tsjeard’s wrâld’ stands for ‘Tsjeard’s world’ (Frisian language). He was a lonely guy, without a job, money or friends. But he adored his cats (as if they were his childeren), his condo (‘his world”) and, above all, his parents.

He died that night unexpectedly: a haemorrhage of the stomach followed by a cardiac arrest. Found by our father, the next day. Tsjeard had covered himself with a blankett, holding a remote-control (but the tv was broken..). What was he thinking?

Tsjeard ‘departed’ at the age of 49.

Rest in piece, bro.
